Sleeping at hostel

Add your name here if you want a sleeping place at the hostel. As soon as enough names are here, Colin will reserve a room.

  • Víctor Martínez Calvo

Talks

This shall mainly be a development and not a talk event. Nevertheless, it's the first time so many of us meet together and some people may have something to tell. Enter your ideas in this list please.

  • I will give a short opening talk on Friday - Colin Finck (talk) 17:38, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Ideas

Add everything you want to have discussed/worked on during the Hackfest to this list. Finish your comment with ~~~~ to add your signature.

  • Major work towards a 0.4 release - Colin Finck (talk) 10:38, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
    • Mm (image sections in particular) is one of the major unresolved issues. Getting a few people together to have a look at CORE-8384 together might be fruitful.
actctx is another, but maybe Aleksey already has a Grand Plan for that.
Some work on ntuser would be the third thing on my mind, but not sure if that's a good candidate for in-person hacking (also depends on whether we'll have the right people). -ThFabba (talk) 09:13, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
    • CORE-8294 is needed to be fixed for resolving various driver problems. Ctasan (talk) 18:28, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Having several developers and testers in a big room should greatly simplify working on real hardware and application compatibility problems.
Who would join these efforts and what application/hardware should we focus on? - Colin Finck (talk) 17:38, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
    • The Dell D531 (AMD SB600) EHCI controller problems probably require a hardcore hacking session to move forward at this point, so that's probably a good candidate. CORE-9296 -ThFabba (talk) 09:13, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
    • Regarding applications, the three voted apps come to mind. I'm not sure where we are with that, but this would be a good opportunity to make progress wherever we're currently stuck. -ThFabba (talk) 09:13, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Who would join a concentrated effort on a new ReactOS Website design based on Victor's doc? - Colin Finck (talk) 17:38, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Implement the storport driver in order to PnP-enable our storage driver stack. Ekohl (talk) 14:17, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
    • Fixing problems with USB mass storage class devices. (not booting from here/not recognizing the device) Ctasan (talk) 14:42, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Implement MMC. Ekohl (talk) 14:17, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Fix USB hub support. Ekohl (talk) 14:17, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
    • It's pretty much completely unimplemented as I understand. I'd certainly be up for that. Also a requirement to get USB working on the "SBC" Indiegogo perk, so nice to have for Community Edition. -ThFabba (talk) 09:13, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Get the new added UDF driver in shape -EmuandCo (talk) 09:51, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Closed Ideas

  • What about contacting a "Meal sponsor"?Maybe a Pizza or Supermarket one?Offering to tweet or facebook their brand feeding us?:)Vicmarcal (talk) 10:42, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
    • As said on IRC, you have multiple possibilities for food in every price range in Aachen. Besides, I don't believe everyone will eat the same food for the whole week. Colin Finck (talk) 17:35, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Can we made a "call for hardware", so guys having issues eith Hw can send us some pieces?Vicmarcal (talk) 10:42, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
    • Discussed with Victor on IRC. Basically if we get to know the most bothering real hardware problems for the majority of people, it would be a great reference. Victor will try to get such a list from our testers. Colin Finck (talk) 17:35, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Hardware

If you bring any specific hardware or need some for your work, which you cannot bring yourself, just add it to this list. We can centrally organize this then. Finish your comment with ~~~~ to add your signature.

  • Will bring 24-Port Managed Gigabit Switch, 16-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch and a WLAN-Router - Colin Finck (talk) 10:38, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

  • Will bring a little NAS (PXE-Server), a Gigabit Switch, a WLAN-Router and some cables. Ekohl (talk) 14:22, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will bring my little Workstation and a ReactOS Testing Laptop. Ekohl (talk) 14:22, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will bring my various USB gadgets. Hubs, ethernet/wifi/sound card sticks etc. -ThFabba (talk) 09:17, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will probably bring the Dell D531 and the "ReactOS SBC" perk at least. Might need a monitor/keyboard for the latter depending on whether or not I come by car -ThFabba (talk) 09:17, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
    • Ok, reserved a monitor and keyboard for you here - Colin Finck (talk) 06:55, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will bring a Dell D531, a Lenovo ThinkPad, some LAN cables and everyone waits for it... 15 liter b33r -EmuandCo (talk) 09:51, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will bring my (only) work computer (Dell Studio 1747 Laptop), an Asus Eee-PC plus external CD drive (if we want to do some HW testing), and cross-Ethernet cable. Hbelusca (talk) 19:33, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Will bring a ThinkPad X61 with Docking Station, won't use it myself. Usable for development and testing/serial debugging endpoint (features a COM port) under Windows or for testing ReactOS on it - Colin Finck (talk) 07:45, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
