It's a wonderful idea. But the first tries at it don't work. I've run Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, etc. with hardware problems but I could install them all. With ReactOS the LiveCD wont boot and the install wont install. I'm using two AMD systems with a Athlon 2800+ in one and a Turion 64 in another. Neither will boot to the LiveCD, just get a blinking cursor after a while.
I've tried installing it on the Athlon on the secondary hard drive (bios will boot to it) but it fails to install. I'm not going to install it on my primary drive at this point. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you get around it?

There are more problems yet.
- ROS don't like shared memory
ROS can only be installed on a primary HDD on the 1st partition
Most real hardware do not run with ReactOS at the moment

Installing ReactOS
It will run in Qemu but it seems pretty limited. I guess I'll play around with that and just watch and see how the ROS project goes.
