ReactOS running on Android devices(Pics inside)

Post by vicmarcal »

After some headaches fighting against Android I was able to make ReactOS run on Android in a decent responsive level.
This is not native ARM support, but it is running on Android inside a virtualizer(imagine its performance).
It takes some time to get installed but seems to work really nice and responsive. But I highly doubt that any game or big app could be run on top of it.
Btw, the quality of the camera is pure sh...but i had to use the Webcam...as i just have my mobile around.

Hardware: SGSIII
Software: Latest ReactOS ISO+Limbo(Free in Google Play)

Waiting for Keyboard and Mouse drivers getting installed:

ReactOS running in SGS3, Paint and Winemine:

Thanks to GonzoMD and PascalDragon who has pointed me towards the virtualizator :)
I have been playing with the configurations and I'm sure we can be able to find an optimus setup :)

So that's what it would look like if we had working native ARM support. Can't say i wasn't disappointed to read it was inside a VM after seeing the pretty pics...

Wow, looks very cool!!

Note everyone that is better to work on the OS kernel stability instead of porting unstable

It's not a port. It runs inside a VM.

Already knew that, my post was a response for those who want a port now ;)

I have been trying this out, too. So far, I got Reactos Running on my smartphone, but I can´t get Network to run on it (actually, I would be happy to get some files in/out of it, but real network access would be fine).
Anyone using the combo Limbo/reactos and have some hints?

MOD EDIT: I'll allow it this time, but next time you resurrect a 7 years old topic, I will disapprove.

This is incredibly exciting to see ReactOS running on Android devices! It opens up new possibilities for lightweight Windows-compatible systems on portable hardware. The potential for older apps and tools to find new life on modern mobile devices is fascinating. I'm curious about performance and driver support, but this kind of innovation is exactly what keeps open-source communities thriving. Great work to everyone involved—looking forward to seeing how this develops! nulls brawl
