So, I decided to try out application written in it using a external GUI library and went with WALK (Windows Application Library Kit) to see if it could find all the native APIs. At the moment, compatibility is scattered depending on where you compile from: if you compile using NT 6.x, it won't work on 5.x; if you compile on 5.x it won't work on 6.x but will work on ReactOS! Kinda.

Dolphin-emu The best wii/gamecube emulator. I used it with a wii mote to play wii games on PC and it works very well. It runs perfectly on reactos:

i don't have any wii games if someone does pls test it. if it breaks try to disable audio and switch to opengl. With USB support reactos could be used as a wii console for PC :)

Anooother EpiC EwIn:
LaTeX running in ReactOS.
This is an incredible achievement. First, because it envolves two different apps: The MiKTeX to compile LaTeX docs, and an advanced GUI as TexMaker.
TexMaker seems pretty stable, without graphic glitchs, without crashes, smooth, and all its features works: Gramma spelling, Autocomplete, Compiling, etc.

I installed my application sucessful on reactos (http://pokit.org - prerequirements VS 2008 redist(MFC) and .net 2.0) and it almost worked :)

- install ok , runs, global hook - hotkey doesn't work and the capture dialog didn't work but still when i tested it a year-two ago it didn't even installed, when i manually copied it didn't start. Still the application has frozen reactos and after restart i got a BSODand couldn't start reactos

so i think it's a epic win to see such progress in the last year also the system is much more stable but there are still BSOD when downloading files

i tried it few months ago and had problems and now:

CODE::BLOCKS WORKS including building with minGW/GCC !!!!

[ external image ]

Problems:
- some UI glitches but nothing seriouse
- After building(and creating the .exe) CB doesn't start the runned file !
- key shortcuts don't work
- After restart, code::blocks is not able to detect minGW(Gcc) i think that is the problem with persistent env varibales so it's useless because of that

HOW did you manage to instal NET 2.0 in ReactOS?

the installation was sucessful(installation dependency of my setup - first i installed vs 2008 redist. as a reqirement for .net 2.0) but i didn' test that part of the application (the app is MFC but only one part of it is .net - it was a time-elegance trade of that i already corrected in the new version).

ps but it was .net SP2 from the application manager: http://pokit.org/get/?6c55bf4a7949b3bc1 ... 0a59b6.png

The only problem - after installing my app/vs 2008 redist/.net 2.0 the reactos died - BSOD on restart :)

+1
Where's the Like button? ;)

-- EDIT --

EPIC WIN 1:
Somewhere between builds 57960 and 58206, Mouse Integration with VBox has been fixed! Sweet! :D

EPIC WIN 2:
Elona, a Windows roguelike, (mostly) works on ReactOS now! This is pretty epic because Elona is written in HSP. It doesn't like to exit (can freeze or BSOD) and there's graphical glitches, but it works!

EPIC WIN 3:
I tested Elona with EloScummer, a save scummer written in AutoIt, and that also (mostly) works!

Go ReactOS! :ugeek:

Another epic win: [ external image ]

Camstudio 2 running under the arwinss branch! In trunk it runs, but only records a black screen. Under arwinss it actually records the desktop! (Oh, and VirtualDub somewhat works too!)
