ReactOS Version

Post by coryhenrique »

Where is stored the Major and Minor version of ReactOS?
eg: the actual version is 5.2

Already I'm grateful!

Look on the right, above the Download button. It says "ReactOS 0.3.14". The major version is 0. The minor version is 3. The subversion is 14. You will also see the version number on the download page.

If you're looking for the most recent version of ReactOS, look at the bottom of the download page for the Trunk Builds. They're not official/stable releases, but they're much more developed than ReactOS 0.3.14 is.

EDIT - Oops, I don't think that's what you were asking. You want to know where inside ReactOS the version number is stored, yes?

Well, not sure if this helps you, but if you Right Click 'My Computer' and click Properties, you'll get an info screen that lists the revision in the bottom left side.

I resort to looking here all the time, as I try so many different revisions out and forget which VM is which revision.

If you are hoping to find out what version ROS reports as Windows... I have no idea where to find that. I would appreciate that info.

Yes, but where is stored this information in source code?
Observation: The kernel version is 5.2 and the ReactOS version is 0.3.14
I wonder where in the source code these information are stored.

Already I'm thankful!

ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...
