Session bug still not fixed! (again)

Post by StringCheesian »

EDIT: It was fixed for a while, but now it's back. Original first post follows:

1. I log in, see lots of orange icons (indicating new posts in those categories).
2. I click "Show new posts since last visit"
3. I see "No topics or posts met your search criteria"
4. Now everything is marked read, I can't tell what's new

This NEVER happens to me at other phpBB forums, so I doubt it's a phpBB problem.

I think there would be a more active community here if it weren't for this problem. As much as I want to follow and discuss ReactOS's development... I can't use a forum like this.

Yeah, it's a small annoyance... but what do you do on forums that don't have a "new posts" feature? It's not a critical thing, I don't think, but it'd be nice if it where either fixed or just removed altogether.

I'am experiencing same things here, problem is I'm not able to see which threads are actually active (besides by their position at top of the table).

Think I fixed it for real now. At least, for me everything works ok.

Working for me as well.

It's nice to not have to check the 'last post' dates for every thread :)

The problem is still there :
Even when I read the thread which is active, it stays as active :?
And when I'm clicking on the orange button, i just go to the first post of the first page instead of going to the first no read post :)

And now it's gone again... Please bear with us, the changes made to fix the session bug broke administrator access. Michael is solving that problem, until that is solved the session bug might return every now and then.

It seems that is fixed now, at least for me (this morning wasn't working, but now it does).
