Physicus, you have lot of good ideas :) I hope you can write them down to wiki under Super Reacty. And if you have more ideas, don't hesitate to add them into wiki also :D

Here is the address of game project wiki pages, in case someone doesn't already know it: http://reactos.com/wiki/index.php/ReactOS_Game

Super Reacty has won the vote. I hope we will use all of our resources for that and forget the other game projects for now. That is how we can go forward and get something done.

So lets talk more about Super Reacty (or what ever the name will be) and add ideas into wiki...

I was hoping Super Reacty would take the lead. I will do anything I can to help, even though I'm not the most talented at anything required. I added a little sub bullet to the antivirus pill on the wiki :)

today i downloaded supertux and compiled it on my linux box
"make install" created the directory /usr/local/share/supertux/images/shared where you find png-Files of enemys clouds waves bullets items and the little penguin
so i just replaced some of the supertuxes with http://img142.echo.cx/img142/4680/reacty30bl.png started the game ....
and there it is: reacty on icq :) (didn't thought it would be that simple)

i suggest our GFX-designers download the source package supertux-0.1.2.tar.bz2 from http://developer.berlios.de/project/sho ... up_id=3467 and take a look at data/images/shared
if we have replacements for all of these images we are close to 1.0 release of superreacty i think

I like what you did with my rudimentary graphic :D

This is a very good step forward. A few more of these and we're rolling ;)

i just added a screenshot to the wiki where you can see how this looks like
as you will see your graphics need to be resized a little bit to fit in the game

just a thought: the "patch-shooter" idea could make people think of ReactOS as suffering from the buggy, fix-needing appearance windows shows now and then (when it comes to security), which is anything but good promotion...

Have anybody done anything lately for this game? Is there any new graphics? How do you think we should proceed? At least the game project needs main designer (graphic artist), coder and project manager. Is anyone interested about any of these 'jobs' :?:

There is a wiki -page for information sharing about the game project. Everybody are encouraged to use that :P :

If you are still interested about the game project, please add your name into contributor list (wiki). If your name is already listed, please check that you are under right category in the list.

Maybe the Scrolling Game Development Kit (http://gamedev.sourceforge.net/) is a good start. It is Open Source and it allows to write a sidescrolling game without any coding (only VB scripts)!
I haven't tested it yet, but I'll do it as soon as ROS svn will build again.

i can't guage what the status of the game is.
so we have a 10 level side scroller. with a possible bug enemy (cute). and does it have the ability to edit levels built in (does supertux have an editor?).

Yes supertux has a level editor built-in.

How about Armagetron? We already support Windows and work good in both single and multiplayer.
