We contact you today, because you have signed up for a myReactOS account
some time ago. And we need your help!
A German bank is currently running a sponsoring campaign for all kinds of
foundations. The 1000 foundations with the most votes receive 1000 EUR each
by the 15th November.
You can easily increase our chances by voting on the following website:
https://verein.ing-diba.de/sonstiges/33 ... schland-ev
Here is the complete voting procedure:
* Open the link above
* Click on the orange button "Stimme abgeben" (= Vote)
* Enter your E-Mail address and solve the captcha, then hit the button
"Absenden" (= Send)
* You will receive a confirmation E-Mail where you have to click the first
link. Finally click on "Stimme abgeben" again and you're done.
Note that you can vote UP TO 3 TIMES with a single E-Mail address, and you
can even cast all votes to the same foundation.
You may also share this, so that we can get as many people as possible to
vote for us.Let's get ReactOS among the top 1000!
Cheers and thanks for your support,
Aleksey Bragin and Colin Finck
in the name of the ReactOS Team and ReactOS Deutschland e.V.

Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?

Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
What happens if I put this message on my forum (some 300.000 users)?
Would that be against the rules of competition or not?

Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
It will be fine as long as the general competition rules are observed.
Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
The administrators should consider adding a news item on the site. Yahoo moved this message to my Spam folder. Although the message didn't look like spam to me, when I checked the news section of ReactOS.org I was surprised to see there was nothing about this campaign. Finally I found this and another thread in the forum but I still wanted to know exactly what's going on. So I got on the German site and started reading (Google Translate).
It looks good. I was mainly curious what happens to our e-mail addresses once we send them through that page:
Anyway, it's great to see how ReactOS ranks in this campaign. So far it's #15 with 2593 votes. GREAT!
If ReactOS would have more to show the number of fans would probably grow exponentially. 1000 EUR is close to nothing regarding the development needs. I would invest the money advertising ReactOS through a coding&testing contest (things on the current to-do list). That way new developers and testers might show up to brighten up the future of this operating system. I'm not trying to tell you guys what to do with the money - it's just an idea.

I'm not sure what that means - it doesn't make much sense. "promotional purposes passed"?! Can anyone help with a correct translation?Google Translate:
Will my e-mail address to use?
The data of the voters will not be disclosed or used for promotional purposes passed.

Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
Its a direct translation of typical german word cration methode: use+pass - and means that your emails wont be sold for commercial purposes. Please mind that automatic translation is a crap.
Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
That statistic is a lie.

Look at votes and compare place of Reactos. We should occupy #10, not 13. I made screenshots several times to check. #13 - all the time.vicmarcal wrote:Why?Yaraslau wrote:That statistic is a lie.
Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
The same for Titans Berlin Cheerleader / Reinickendorfer Füchse.

Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
There was no tricks - the ranking is updated periodically (every 15 minutes).

15 minutes? No, at least one hour.bobby wrote:There was no tricks - the ranking is updated periodically (every 15 minutes).
Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?
Rank 6 has 3205 votes
Before I voted ReactOS had 3203 votes.
+3 = 3206. Now we have to wait for the statistics to get refreshed. It's the least we can do for you guys.
//edit: It just updated. Cool!
