USB Boot
Hi Guys
I have searched the forums regarding USB Booting and have only found 1 topic that states that Reactos wont support USB booting, is this the case and will it ever be possible to boot into Reactos from a usb drive ?
I sure hope it is going to be developed as I really need this functionality.
Cheers
Pyro

What a shame even this board has wankers posting crap well done the123king you have single handily managed to loose the project many $$ in donations to promote this project. I was looking at investing a large amount of money ( I imagine you get yours from the state ) as I needed a specific build that ran from USB for the education market.
You are a complete jerk and have no use to this community with pathetic posts as yours - go get a life little boy take your helmet and your colouring crayons with you.
- Administrators as far as I am concerned please close my account as I want to invest in Real people with a real desire to build worthwhile software and not be influenced by wankers like the123king asshole we see here.
I cant even say it was Nice knowing you and goodbye to the project, I hope the project can continue but with the silly little people
Write back what ya like I wont be returning to see it !!

Re: USB Boot
Yes, I write back!
1. Man, this is a open source community and no in your words "serious" company or stuff like this. We do this as hobby, nothing else.
2. The only one acting like a little child is you! You insult 123king after a little joke. Very mature! And btw, he is right! Noone knows how long it will take, because it can only be done when a dev feels the urge to implement it and noone does for now.
3. If you act like this everytime when someone fully unrelated to a project makes jokes, we can call you mature even more!
4. If you think your money gives you the right to act like a "jerk" to rephrase you, you are at the wrong place!
5. nute, I absolutely dislike ppl having several accounts and insulting ppl in the hope to be hidden!
Contact to officials, plz over IRC!

ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.
If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...

I dont understand your anger, the123king isnt a developer here just an user. If you want to know real current state the best is contacting Aleksey Bragin (the Project coordinator AND the USB developer) and not believing a guy with an account who can be indeed a troll(not this case).
If you really want to invest money in a project i doubt you get pissed of by just an user. You shouldnt trust the first guy you find in ReactOS Forum or in any other where you want to invest your money.
Nowadays USB is included in our builds, but it is in a very early stage(mouse and keyboard) with a nice investment(as yours) we can speed up that development.
Again, developers are
and they arentReal people with a real desire to build worthwhile software
, since he isnt developing at all.influenced by wankers like the123king asshole
Also i want to remind you that there are some Forum rules who noone can jump: wankers, asshole, silly, and other rude words are not allowed.
And The123king: Please dont set estimation dates if you dont know them. It just can lead to misunderstandings, indeed if they are a joke.
Done.Write back what ya like I wont be returning to see it !!

14-year olds do not posess nor invest large amounts of money. Sole purpose of writing that crap was to make someone feel bad. Very mature and professional. Good bye. Please dont come back under different account name. What a shame even this board has wankers posting crap well done the123king you have single handily managed to loose the project many $$ in donations to promote this project. the123king is right. It would take a long time. Why are you agitated by such a brief reply?the123king wrote: Worst estimate: Years

Re: USB Boot
I was only saying something I got told before. There is no definate date as to when USB booting will be supported, and no definate date as to when USB will be supported at all.
All i was trying to do, was to make a little joke on the subject that no-one is quite sure when USB will be supported, and from what i've been told, some devs arn't sure either.
I'm sorry if i offended you, but you sure offended me. Maybe you should be the one who grows up and stops biting at every little joke that crop up. From now on i think i'll keep my mouth shut around you.

Re: USB Boot
Not all jokes can't be taken by everyone, me included. I didn't really care for your joke, but at least I didn't go off and call you a wanker. People who can't take a joke need to know how to show restraint.The123king wrote:I was only saying something I got told before. Re: USB Boot
Ignore the childish pyrosoft, he obviously thinks he could do better than us by rewriting a poorly documented and closed source OS.
@Pyrosoft
I don't know you, but maybe you should get a few USB stack books, make us a USB stack, have it added to ReactOS and make some drivers for this purpose. If you do view this message, you should understand that we don't exactly know all the workings of the NT kernel, and that's why we lack the support we do. I don't necessarily agree with some things, such as not implementing a better file system sooner, declining to make the GUI independent from the CLI (like GNU/linux) and the absence of cygwin as a source for POSIX based FS and drivers and kernel bits. Your lack of patience and fiery attitude will be forgiven if you admit ur faults and perhaps join in the dev bandwagon.
