I didn't see that there was an open thread, sorry.
I created this wallpaper like tux'n'tosh wallpapers, using my previous "mascot" posted some days ago mixed with the original ROS logo. This wallpaper is 100% original. I created it using photoshop, inkscape vector illustrator. I hope everyone will like it. I think it can be used as an icon too. Feel free to change it, if you want.

That's cool, but maybe the tail could be coming around the bottom instead of the other thing (I am not sure what it is meant to be)?m.c.april wrote:I didn't see that there was an open thread, sorry.

That is not the tail but the rings around the atom of the original reactos logoPhalanx wrote: That's cool, but maybe the tail could be coming around the bottom instead of the other thing (I am not sure what it is meant to be)?
However it is a good idea, i add a tail instead of the rings! This is ROXIE, the final version of my mascot, thanks to Phalanx's idea.

Do you like it?
If you want to improve the logo, you can!
This is the base I used to create the aqua logo, the base for my mascot "roxie":

You can do whathever you want, icons or wallpapers. Using this you can create your own version
To create the 3d globe effect you have to use the Liquify function in Photoshop
You can also see my original "mascot" posted some days ago.

Rosfan i like your wallpaper. But I think you can't use the firefox logo.
Can you create a version of your wallpaper using the aqua wallpaper i created, even changing it if you want? You can replace the firefox logo with the blue globe in my wallpaper. That can be a cool "fusion" and that will not violate any copyright
Can you use something like the blue logo that i posted in the "Mascot ROXIE" thread? (even modifing it)

Not enough time at the moment. Your idea needs a lot of reengineering in my eyes. Additionally I use the svg Format for such backgrounds.
But don't give up and stay on creating your own ideas.
About using of the Firefox logo: I saw a lot of wallpapers using it. I don't think it's illegal, but don't know exacly. Maybe I should change the text, it can be misunderstood.

Hi all,
working with photoshop I've made this:
[ external image ]
It is in .jpg format in 800x600
The text you see in it is a part of changelog for 0.3.3
i would like to see it in 0.3.3, who knows... it's not that bad no?

I like it, but just enter the reactos string in that corner and nothing else And with smaller fonts.meg112 wrote:Hi all,

Looks very nice. I played with your idea and created this:

http://www.seanserver.com/~againstgates ... lpaper3.7z
But I'm not really sure that making a list of fixed bugs and new functions is a good idea for a default background
As background generally it is not bad.

good job guys and thanks for the replies.
i think my wallpaper is good only for alpha/beta versions of ROS where there's a strong development.
the text is better on the left!
Btw, I've made another one:

It's clear and simple. Icons should look good on the white background. I hope you like it!!
