can u provide a jpg without icon in
so we maybe can make a desctions later if we shall include u wallpapper in reactos or not

With the past happenings I believe this will require full proof of origional creation before it is accepted (like other shots around it, location, photo creation dates with camera...), and that it is not just another picture that has been filtered, edited etc. That way ReactOS does not get into legal trouble, like would of happened if the icons had been accepted.

that's the exact same thing I was thinking...

you have to give the full source of the image.. if you want it to be used in ROS it has to be your's (or it has to be of public domain..).... and your's like in you took the picture... not your's like in you found it

OK. the picture I put on my backround is from my dads website.but the original (high reso. ) file is somewhere on my other PC i'll look for it later!

PS: this is one of my favo.

The most important part is, did he have full rights to the picture, and allow you to have them or use them under the GPL licence?

well he took the picture(i was with him) and yes (only the two above! I'll have to get you the original files like i saud above!

What about creating a category within Download! for such images and hosting them at reactos.org?

The second picture in the first post is the best, 2.jpg and 4.jpg are also nice.


I though more about a online background database where people using ReactOS can download bgs with a special program. KDE has got something like that.
That is useful because you usually can only add a very limited number of backgrounds to install cds to keep the images small.
