Here's just a tip from my side of a great burning application that also is free.
Which means you dont need to steal any burning software ;)
Also there's a big common problem with the comercial burning softwares that they actually
can't burn from an ISO file, due they have their own format.

Iam not saying that all comercial burning softwares
can't burn from an ISO file. (But most common cases they dont)
Which leads to that you have to mount your iso trough DaemonTools forexample and from your burning software choose the DaemonTools VirtualDrive as the source drive. I dont like that.

So well there's a free burning software who can actually burn from an ISO file, and it have also much more features, i have burnt many Linux CD's from this program and they all worked well.

The only bad thing is that it comes with a toolbar
Yea well those arent hard to getrid of, but it's kinda annoying.
Well anyhow for those who is intressted have a look at it = D

personally i recommend this free tool, which actually has a link from an ms page, (free tool praised by ms? how bizare!)

anyway the url is

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

this could be any easier to use, simply double click on the iso file and you will get an iso burning wizard with an xp style interface :o

hope its of some use, theres not much you can go wrong with, its incredibly straightforward to use, although i think it only works with xp, oh and of course its free!

How about cdrtools frontend? It looks like it belongs in NT 4.0, but it still works.

wtf? It's just not full of stupid, bloating eye-candy like Nero...

True, Nero is so fat it takes about two hours to install. It just isn't as efficient as Nero 5, which I use all the time, and, I might add, is much less bloated than Nero 7.

However, I heard that somebody's SoC project will be to design a much better frontend for cdrtools. If that works out I'll try it, and see if I like it better than cdrtfe.

<troll>It won't be better than k3b anyway, so what's the point?</troll>
Anyway, to be honest i can't think of a better cd recording application on windows than cdrtfe. It is so concise and yet quite fully-featured, small and fast. And if you don't like the way it looks... tough luck i guess :p

I can live with it. I'm just saying it could stand a little improvement, while remaining non-bloated. Why isn't there a k3b port for Win32?

I've already suggested some minor changes to the author of cdrtfe, and he was very open-minded about my suggestions. If you have any real suggestions, why don't you send him an eMail? I'm sure he'd react in some way...
Anyway, there will be a k3b port for Windows because KDE4 will be ported to Windows.

Sorry Matthias bad news K3B is not on the win32 port list yet as part of Kde 4. I asked the core developer with a lot of praise because it is great.

GPL-incompatible (closed too) software is not good for ROS.

Check out Infra Recorder !
