large drive support?

Post by Techlord »

I tried to install ReactOS on my 200gb drive and it seems to recognize it but hangs with an error of not being able to write to disk. Is there a work around to this yet? I searched the forums for possible previous problems relating to this error and found none, unless I didn't do my homework right :)

Thx for any help.

IDE? SCSI? RAID? SATA?

Only IDE and SATA work right now.

Sry, my bad, it's IDE. for the iX86 architecture. Typical system really.
I tried it in both LBA and DMA.

CPU: AMD Semprom 2800 clock'd @ 2.0ghz
AGP: ATI Radeon 9600
RAM: 1GB

If you require the MB chipset or Drive model I still have yet to look it up.

I'm sry for my noobish postings folks. I've been really busy with other things recently and this is a personal project of a friend of mine who doesn't have internet access (yet) unfortunately. I did recommend he try ReactOS as I have, but on the machine I installed it on I didn't get any trouble at all, altho I use it on a small drive (40gb) instead of a 200gb.

And thx for the incredible fast reply.
Cheers
:)

Hmm... This should work. Strange that it does not... What Version of ReactOS are you using? Try that one http://svn.reactos.ru/iso/bootcd-21353-rel.rar
