Not installing on ASUS EEEPC 1000 HG

Post by joepais »

I am trying to install React OS on my ASUS EEEPCC 1000 HG with no success.
It is presently running Windows XP SP3.

I am using the permanent installation version, I burned the ISO image onto a disk using GEAR ISO Burn.

What am I doing wrong?
Can I install from a USB memory stick instead (prefered to a CD)?

Thank you very much beforehand,

Joe Pais.

Nothing for a ordinary user, but there is a USB install way by RAMDISK: https://reactos.org/wiki/Installing_ReactOS Might help there
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

You should be able to burn it to a CD and install that way. What ISO are you using? What error are you seeing?

Have you burned it as a ISO image?

if you find the instruction hard to understand from the other wiki link, then have a look here
Please keep the Windows classic (9x/2000) look and feel.
The layman's guides to - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.
