QEMU loves ROS

Post by karlexceed »

I just noticed that the image used for the QEMU entry on Wikipedia is actually ROS running in QEMU: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QEMU
What's more is that they use the same image right on the front of their homepage: https://www.qemu.org/

:D Cheers, nurnware! (The image author on Wikipedia.)

PS: Holy crap, I forgot that ROS used to have multiple desktops by default! That was a relatively recent change too...

That image on their Wikipedia article existed for long, since September 2006.

In these days, even ReactOS is capable to run QEMU and is possible to run ReactOS on ReactOS

Yeah, but it wasn't as Windows compatible underneath and still had at least considerable parts of the old memory manager. Fixing that apparently broke the self-hosting, according to the recent blog entry, but it is great that they have self-hosting back.

Maybe if someone creates a new image with a new ReactOS they will use that instead :)
