I have corrected the Entry in the Wiki a bit. Now everybody should be able to get WaveOut Audio running in ReactOS. Its unstable, but you hear something.

P.S. DON'T COPY/PASTE IN VM DIRECTLY. MOUNT THE Virtual HDD.

Ah nice, worked for me. It does seems pretty unstable, winamp v1.92-sp1 worked but v2.95rc didnt (it apeared to try and play something).
I changed the wiki page abit, probably needs some more attention. I also added an ad/registration free link.

Thanks ScoTTie, changes look great. 8) It's good to hear that it worked for others, too.

Hello, I have a SoundBlaster soundcard and wonder if your way to install these drivers would work on real hardware too?

I tested SoundBlaster 16 driver with the current head revision. I played Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex with sound
Both WinAmp and Foobar works fine too.
My second pc run WinAmp 2.7.8 and plays music in ReactOS (rev 20525), the whole day. No crash occur and WinAmp plays still music

Is this for under SVN builds, or for 0.2.9?

It would be great to involve someone from the
kX Project
The kX Project is an independent development project, focused on providing free WDM Audio Drivers for
kX-Compatible sound cards .
UPDATE:
Seems that recently Eugene Gavrilov (the kX Project Lead Programmer and Coordinator) claimed:
I will release some parts of the driver opensource (sourceforge?), if possible (if anything is ever released, it will be available as GPL/L-GPL)
but also
we will not support any 3-rd party OSes (reactos etc.)
»Forward Agency NPO
In progress we (always) trust.
