That's not really news since ReactOS and it's entire software suite is developed on Windows XP.

Or did you really think the devs worked within ReactOS given it's previous and current state?

Yes, most of the devs primarily develop under windows. And since it's also part of the aim of ReactOS to have its different pieces working on Windows and vice-versa, the fact that explorer, cmd.exe etc... work on windows is not a surprise. Concerning kernel-mode parts on the contrary, making them working properly on Windows is more challenging, but doable.

If "manuel" who quoted "MugenFighter" had removed this text from the quote (shown in the code example above), we would not now be looking at post after post with the same image in!
Please be thoughtful. Thank you.

I managed to get Amiga Forever to run, but it didn't work well and seemed to cause damage to the OS. I used a cd/iso with a preinstalled version. I may have to download a debugger since this is a commercial product that is still selling.

Edit: It seems removing the bootable part of the cd/iso solved the damage part. But the program seems to open and crash, but the program window doesn't update (although it updates the Window bar). Again I think I can't escape the debugger.

Edit Again: If anyone happens to have a jira account here is the debug log.

Just file a report for CORE-1576. Wow prcDirty is in use!!! Nice! Layered windows is hack to work and still needs help to fully implement.

Edit Again: If anyone happens to have a jira account here is the debug log.
You should have one now; just use your forum password and user name for your next bug report or to update the one middings has opened for you.
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.
The layman's guides - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Attaching a log file to its related bug report (JIRA issue) is the best way to bring it to the attention of the developers who can resolve the bug.

To add an attachment to an already reported bug:
  1. Open the bug's JIRA issue.
  2. If not already logged in to JIRA, click the Log in link located at the upper right-hand corner of the web page. Use the same log in credentials (name, password) the ReactOS forums use.
  3. Beneath the name of the JIRA issue near the top of the web page are three buttons labeled Comment, Agile Board, and More.
    • Choose Comment to add another comment about the issue.
    • Choose More to expose a drop-down list that allows one to Attach Files or Attach Screenshot.
    • I don't know what Agile Board is for, so I don't touch it.
  4. After leaving a comment, be sure to click Add before leaving the comment page.
  5. After leaving a file or screenshot be sure to click Attach before leaving the page.
  6. Log out of JIRA when finished reviewing JIRA.
