Windows 3.11 running in DosBox!!!!!!
Is it possible to run the Windows 3.11 installer in ntvdm and then run Windows 3.11 in ntvdm, or would it screw the registry up?
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.
The layman's guides - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Maybe it works, did not test it yet. Why should it corrupt the registry?
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...

Hmmmm. I need to try this. :D Is there someway I could get NTDVM to a prompt and to a location like C:\WIN?

I don't know, I am ignorant of such matters; maybe by over-writing an existing entry!

If you do succeed, then please post here again. That would be a real EPIC WIN!

See http://svn.reactos.org/svn/reactos?view ... sion=67061 for more info. Aside: "Windows Setup" in NTVDM, not bad :D :D

Messing around with XP's DXDIAG in ReaactOS:

You also need to copy XP's dxdiag.dll into system32 for it to work.

Our DirectX implementation is good enough along with Virtual Box Direct3D to run the Direct3D test of the XP's dxdiag tool.
