Wordpad background color ideas
I was looking around in Wordpad and found an option to change the background color. It only has two colors and I was looking to improve my coding skills and I was wondering if any one had a color they would like added. I knows it's really trivial and no one would probably not use it. If any one is interested in a color, all I would need is the name and the RGB color code. The colors can be accessed by going to "Format" and then to "Background". Thanks!

Re: Wordpad background color ideas
One of my colour choices would be: Red 0 - Green 39 - Blue 79 (taken from the colour chart within Notepad++, so I would assume 000,039,079 for rgb).
And the sample image:

Nice color. What name should it be on the color menu. It works but I just need the desired color name. One of my colour choices would be: Red 0 - Green 39 - Blue 79 (taken from the colour chart within Notepad++, so I would assume 000,039,079 for rgb).

Re: Wordpad background color ideas
In Notepad++, the style with this coloured background that I use, is called Ruby Blue, so if you want to call it that, do so , but you could also call it Ros Blue instead. It's up to you!Pi_User5 wrote:Nice color. What name should it be on the color menu. New Wordpad executible: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3a4f6 ... 2-2014.exe
I'll generate the patches soon but I want to see if any one else has any new color ideas.

We need Word equivalent, not WordPad in ReactOS. Almost nobody uses WordPad. 85% of users use Word.

Re: Wordpad background color ideas
Thanks! I plane on adding some new colors tonight. I was thinking of adding a color called Latus black color from the theme in ReactOS. Also, when I make the JIRA report, could I use your image of the ReactOS blue color? It looks good!

Re: Wordpad background color ideas
That's true. Maybe someone could start writing a Word clone. I could try but I don't know how far I would get. I would reuse the wordpad code and modify the code. Only problem is I need to know how to add another folder to compile in the base\applications folder. We need Word equivalent, not WordPad in ReactOS. Almost nobody uses WordPad. 85% of users use Word.

Re: Wordpad background color ideas
No, we do not need a "Word" replacement. That's what Open/LibreOffice is for.
Re: Wordpad background color ideas
Usage stats tell more than 85% use MS Office along with Windows. Unlike OOo/Libreoffice.org, we should implement a API compatible Word implementation. Ooo is not API compatible.
