Just downloaded the LIVE ISO and transferred to a USB key using RUFUS in Windows.
There's no way for me to use it, I always get the BSOD when I think I should see the Desktop environment.
I tried it on 3 different computers: My main laptop with in Intel i5 Processor, a netbook with Atom and a Desktop with a P4 dual core processor.
No success ever.
Can anybody help me?
regards

Re: No Way to run LIVE ISO
Hi!
Iirc, the Live iso is created to be run in a CD but not in an USB.
So probably that's the issue.

thank you very much. I'll try it asap and let a feedback here on forum.
Due to low speed of cd is it going to be ported to a USB media anytime ever?

Re: No Way to run LIVE ISO
That would require ROS to have a far less buggy and more functional USB support, something that it doesn't have at the moment (and a must would also be a non-buggy RamDisk support).ilfrnz wrote:thank you very much. I'll try it asap and let a feedback here on forum.

Re: No Way to run LIVE ISO
I think the first (major) step towards this is being able to boot off of a USB connected CD drive. (which would be required to install on some laptops)
Are any of the Devs working on USB and/or RamDisk support right now?

I must say that I do manage to boot off a usb dongle, from a user perspective like mine the sensation is that the system hangs almost at the end of the init procedure.
