ReactOS Communit(y/ies)

Post by laurflorin »

Hi. One quick question.

In which ways 1) is going to be different than 2) ?

1) https://www.reactos.org/reactos-community
2) http://community.reactos.org/?tmpl=comingsoon

Any more information would be highly appreciated (if available, of course)

Thank you :)

I think the precise date results in April 2nd, to evade Fools' Day :-)

I'm willing to bet that the date marks rshell code integration and the shift to explorer_new.

The spoon was an allusion to the 'more info' he was asking. And, as you have just confirmed, there is and will be no such spoon.

Because of the "A:\ReactOS\official\initiative>" at the end of the side, I thoighted at first, it will be an Online-ReactOS like mentioned on Kickstarter.

But now I don't think so.
Have a look at the icons:

The FavIcon of the ReactOS-side:

The Logo of the ReactOS-side:

And now look at the logo of the new side:
[ external image ]

It have a lot of lesser colors. And there are big buttons "SUBSCRIBE" and "LOG IN" on the side.
This reminds to Metro on Windows 8.x, right?

So, it is crystal clear, that ReactOS new direction is, to reimplement Windows 8.1. :D

I doubt the devs are that suicidal. ;)
We don't even have a stable NT5 platform yet. It's got to be something else.

You havce rescheduled it, to 14 hours. :(
Is the reason, that you want to publish the (R)evolution simultaneously with Microsoft /build/ ?
