Take this one for example: http://www.reactos.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1332
Bug 1332 – Changing or creating new file associations in Folder options is missing
Because I am considering filing bug reports in the future, I thought it best to find out - is a bug report like this considered an enhancement by the team (ENH) or is it considered a regular bug?
Are bugs only problems/errors that prevent the already implemented code from working properly, or does it cover features that Windows has but ReactOS doesn't yet?
Are enhancements just for new features that aren't part of ReactOS or Windows, or do they cover features from Windows that haven't made it to ReactOS yet?
On bugzilla, are missing features considered enh or bugs?

Re: On bugzilla, are missing features considered enh or bugs
They may consider it an enhancement, but there is a place on the bug report for the bug maintainer to set it as an enhancement. So enhancements are allowed to be reported, and the developers or maintainer will decide what the severity level is. The reporters don't fill in the stuff at the top other than a heading, the "product," component (if known), and description. We don't confirm our own bugs, give the bugs an alias, set the severity level, milestone, assignment, resolution, etc. So don't worry if there is doubt as to the type or severity of the bug, since enhancements are allowed to be reported too. Missing features, except for those in the FAQ, usually are okay to report, since there are a number of missing language support or translation requests in there too. Multiple bugs in a report are discouraged, though I noticed a developer who reported 6+ categories of regressions in one of the newer ones, and it wasn't a "metabug" (which is inserted by devs or maintainers and functions as a "folder" to organize a specific series of bugs).BrentNewland wrote:Take this one for example: http://www.reactos.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1332

Re: On bugzilla, are missing features considered enh or bugs
It depends on the feature impact/necessity. The severity should reflect that.
