Consider migrate ROS to DVCS(git or fossil)

Post by Valeron »

Hence git is really pop now, you know what it's good for. Though the win32 port is known to be not perfect.
So here's fossil, maybe a good alternative

Since I'm not the developers yet, just a suggestion cause I found svn is slow sometimes.

We have a git mirror, assuming it's still being updated. But considering the way that DVCSes deal with changes, I and several other developers strongly object to using it. It is nowhere as granular on a file by file level as SVN when it comes to commits and considering how often we need to revert, isn't worth the hassle. And "popular" does not equate "good" or even "adequate" depending on the task at hand.

Git mirror <git://git.reactos.org/reactos.git/> works.

Its been discussed so many times. SVN has still best tools for win32.
