Compiler and Enviroment

Post by Sandman »

Hi,

I wanted to look into ReactOS a little more. So, i setup a mingw enviroment. On virtualbox with the current stable release. The gcc that is available currently is 6.3.0. So, my question is there a required compiler version. Required to submit patches upstream?

You just need to check the main page of ReactOS website: https://reactos.org/wiki/Building_ReactOS
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If you want to report problems, please first make sure that you use the latest version of the ReactOS Build Environment.
That's what i was looking for. So, if I submit a patch. It has to be in the right build environment. Thanks
