Resource Editing

Post by iPick12 » Thu May 24, 2012 6:38 pm

I've read on the wiki, that most of the devs use MSVC++ Express Edition. But what about resource editing? If I try to open a resource file with MSVC++ I get a bunch of errors. Most of them are because of the directory structure of the resource files. I also tried ResEdit but it didn't work either. So what resource editor do the developers use or what am I doing wrong?

...manual editing?
In the past I used to generate VS sollutions and convert the resource files to UTF16 to be able to use the Microsoft's VS resource editor (reconverting them back to UTF8 when done), but it was too much of a bother. It could have been worse than what you're dealing with now, you know?
