Reactos Slow compiling

Post by 90FellowPerson »

I have an Ubuntu 24.04 machine, and when I try to compile it, it is very slow. It has 11000k files, if I recall correctly. Is there a way to make it faster?
Specs:
CPU: AMD A4 6210
GPU: AMD RADEON R3
RAM: 16GB
DISK: SSD With 300gb on it

When compiling Reactos source code, your CPU is probably at 100% utilization
4 Cores at 1.8 GHz is a bit underpowered for the job

1st build will take a while, but later if you just change a few lines the build is way faster and no, there is no way execpt a newer pc with more and faster cores to speed things up.
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.
