Problem Booting From LiveCD

Whenever I attempt to boot from a LiveCD on my computer, it says it's reading DLL and SYS files. But as soon as it says it's reading NDIS.SYS, this screen comes up:

I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do after this. The CD still sounds like it's working, but nothing appears to be happening. Is something wrong with my computer or something, or does it just take a long time to start up? I'm using a Dell Studio 540 with a 450GB hard drive running Vista, if that helps.

Along with the rest of the 0.3 series, this release is still considered alpha quality software so it may not run all your apps or run on your hardware.

Your hardware is probably not supported. If it's any consolation, ReactOS doesn't work on my PC either.

And you're luckier than I am, mine stops on UNIATA.SYS and even BSODs on it.

The only way we can help you is if you help us giving us a DebugLog. Look in our Wiki about Debugging.

And you're luckier than I am, mine stops on UNIATA.SYS and even BSODs on it.

You are experienced the changes in our Uniata support. Which is your SATA controller?You can see it in the Hardware Manager in the Control Panel. Obtain a DebugLog and send to us (if you havent done previously)

somariman1, I've had similar problems trying it out, React OS doesn't even see the hard drive on one of my PCs. It'll take some more revisions before it reaches a usable form. Still, I am enjoying the challenge of working with the alpha version. I hope you haven't become discouraged.

Disable your network card. Probably your network card not supported. Try reboot the LiveCD again.

When I load reactos from the liveCD, the desktop shows up, but I can't move my mouse!!!

I am using the mouse built into my craptop.
But I have also tried using a external mouse.

If it is a laptop then the external mouse is maybe ¿USB?
USB devices doesnt work on ROS yet
The one in the craptop maybe is using one internal USB port.
Are they USB?

Yes. The external mouse I was trying was a USB mouse.
But, I tried one of the older pci? port mouses, and it didn't work.

Ive t same problem with reactos in a vbox under ubuntu , but not in vista
1 ) I assume that you hardware is not supported
suggestion :perhaps you could install vbox under vista and emulate reactOS on it.
