How many hours a day does a ReactOS dev usually spend on doing this in their free time?

click on the dev to see some stats, and calculate self how much time a dev spend per/timerange

Says that there's no packet loss but I can't see anything in the web browser. It takes very long time to load and nothing is showing.

It takes a long time to load, but it loads eventually (browsing from central Europe).

Hehe I conveniently forgot why I wanted to know how much time a dev spend on this project during his/her free time. So I don't have to count those numbers anymore. :)

New question: "Terra incognita"
But maybe I should reformulate my previous question like this instead. Is it possible to create a map numeric or visual? That roughly shows (estimates) how much code needs to be done before reaching the end of the tunnel.
And then use that map to "triangulate" the current position that ReactOS has traveled since the year 1997, from point A (0%) to point B (100%)?

It'd be like doing 1.0/2, 0.5/2, 0.25/2, 0.125/2 ... forever. ReactOS will probably never catch up completely, since it aims to implement features introduced in new versions of Windows. The target of ReactOS has previously been NT4 and is now NT 5, and it is now starting to incorporate elements of NT 6 (such as DirectX 10).

Unless, of course, ReactOS becomes to Windows what Linux is to UNIX. But that theoretical day is far in the future for now.

Thanks for the nice graph hto. Could you explain what each of the colors means and what the X-axis say the dates are jumbled up? Does it show the progress from 1997 - 2008?

I don't know how large will be ReactOS 1.0. Bear in mind that ReactOS shares much of code with Wine and other projects.

Join #reactos IRC channel and talk directly with the devs.

That's a good sign! But sometimes you need to slow down and charge your engines in order to break through the sound barrier, before going supersonic. Overworking when you guys are undermanned isn't healthy in the long run.

More appropriately, the developers don't come onto the forum that often. Ged and silverblade are really exceptions to that rule.

What exactly is your reason for asking this question anyways?
