Dealing with differenct MBRs (Grub, LILO, Win32 MBR...)
are there any manuals about dealing with different MBRs?
i am thinking in the ros installer and, for example, bug 2733

It's a request for one, which is perfectly valid.

Well, the subforum summary leads people to believe that it's for people who have tutorials, since it's:Z98 wrote:It's a request for one, which is perfectly valid.

How to get ROS to detect and deal with different types of MBRs properly (like the bug states ROS doesn't, due to bad file sizes of the disk) and/or How to get ROS To install different types of MBRs. Those are usually the two common questions associated with MBRs. Although the OP may have a different question / request.FlyingIsFun1217 wrote:As to the OP: What sort of tutorials are you looking for?

If you are trying to remove grub. lilo...etc.
From the recovery console of windows xp. I believe the command you are looking for is
fdisk /mbr will blank any record in the mbr, fix mbr will restore the windows xp mbr. from here a simple install of reactos should work.
I do apologize for the unfortunate answers you got. Some people who do not know the answer for some reason still feel compelled to respond.
