Any video card that is not compatible with VESA 2.0 will not work in ROS now. Our VGA driver is broken, but it will be fixed by 0.3.4 as it is a release blocker.

And how may we go about finding out if our graphics card is VESA 2.0 compatible?

I think, it will stand in the technical specifications of your card. F. Ex. in your manual or on the website....

intel graphic card is well known not follow the spec well for vbe

only way I known is to write a own driver for intel graphic card
and trick it into flat framebuffer mode.

Does this means that until the VGA driver be fixed, even QEMU won't work with ReactOS daily build images?
This seems to be what I am observing with livecd-31112-rel.iso which seems to at least show screen on real hardware (keyboard and mouse not working for me), and give black screen under QEMU (both with the Cirrus Logic one and the standard VGA emulation).
