Latest SVN builds -> VMWare

Post by Hakintosh » Mon Jun 26, 2006 5:46 pm

I've attempted to load up quite a few of the recent SVN builds in VMWare ESX Server with little success. The install completes successfully, but after FreeLoader it simply sits at a blue screen and gets no further.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Builds 22080 and 22156, as well as 0.3.0 RC1 are the last builds that I know have worked for sure.
Windows 95/98/Me (n): 32 bit extension and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprossessor, written by a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

Same with VMWare 5.5 here. Wait one or two days and it will run again. I'll tell Alex that his commits could have broken it.

I have been able to get it to run fine from the vmware image as well as the CD installs. I have found tho is it will not install vmware tools nor let me install any programs.

Builds: .3.0 RC1 & 22607
VMWare: 5.5 workstation

Any news on this? I've noticed that some additional ISOs have been built, but as of 29-Jun the latest appears to be debug versions only.

22709+ should work

I had the same problem a few days ago, but after build 22709 the bug seamed fixed. It is also important that you run from a virtual IDE drive and that it is a FAT16/32 partition.

By the way, welcome to ReactOS and I hope you will have a nice stay hera on the forum.
