Visual Studio inside ReactOS

Is there any version of Visual Studio that works inside ReactOS?

With an Alpha o/s it it basically 'your job' to test to see if the s/w works or not. If it does work today it may not tomorrow. Warning, don't intend to 'use' ReactOS as it is not ready - but by all means test.

Any version of visual studio that operated inside XP might have a chance. The visualbasic 6.0 and the accompanying C IDE might install with a lot of fair wind, the VB5 IDE certainly does. Some have managed to install VB6 with some effort. As ReactOS is under development,any software of the period might work or might not, it is a changing playing field due to continual change.

Work is being carried out now that will make later versions of software compatible but that work is equally - in progress.

There is a portable edition of VB6 that worked partially for me. It's size is only 6 Mb

I had to copy msvbvm60.dll (the Rapps installers didn't work)

i have not tested in a long time but vb5 Control Creation Edition may run on reactos

yes Visual Studio 2010 has run on ReactOS in the past viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10972&start=1170

VB5 Control Creation Edition installs and runs on ReactOS

Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Working Model Edition and Visual Studio 6 professional works but you will need to install WineVDM from ReactOS Application Manager
