I have this Macbook (A1342) from mid-2010: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macb ... specs.html
It has a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo (P8600) and a Nvidia Geforce 320m.
I heard ReactOS's driver support got a lot better. I was wondering if I could install the XP bootcamp drivers on ReactOS? Has anyone tried this?
Wanted to test this on an XP era Mac.

You could be the first to try it!

Keep in mind ReactOS doesn't support USB boot yet, but you can try it using RAM disk boot via USB: https://reactos.org/wiki/Installing_Rea ... B_RAM_boot

Through various trickery I got it to USB boot on my MacBook.binarymaster wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 12:06 pmKeep in mind ReactOS doesn't support USB boot yet, but you can try it using RAM disk boot via USB: https://reactos.org/wiki/Installing_Rea ... B_RAM_boot
Re: Wanted to test this on an XP era Mac.
Could you please elaborate on this "trickery"? In order for a ReactOS USB to boot on a Macbook, it means that ReactOS must support both GPT and UEFI (as far as I understand). Could you please confirm that this is the case? Thanks.turpitude wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 1:32 pmThrough various trickery I got it to USB boot on my MacBook.binarymaster wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 12:06 pmKeep in mind ReactOS doesn't support USB boot yet, but you can try it using RAM disk boot via USB: https://reactos.org/wiki/Installing_Rea ... Yes, it will be interesting to learn what you got through this journey: what exactly you did to get run this.
Or, not exactly but nearly
BTW "boot from RAM disk off USB" link changed to:
