I suppose that I'm curious as to how official this would be. I don't mind sharing ideas, but I don't necessarily see how this would be much different than just posting in the design forum now. Still, I'm all for the idea.

Well...i figure it like this.... We already know that we're no where near ready to begin work on the GUI.. but, the GUI needs alot of planning and development... i figure we start a team and work on it. So, if all goes well, maybe we'll have the GUI ready when then plan to spruce it up.it can't hurt, can it? and yes, this will be a bit different from the Design forum. the design forum is messy..people just throw around ideas, not working on them, and just trying to get other people to do their dirty work.. i'll be able to work FULL TIME on the GUI, and i plan to post tutorials and such on how to build icons, make them decent, and provide tools to people who want to help but can't program... i figure that this is a big project, and everyone should be allowed to help...and as for the ideas...when your designing a GUI you DO need some input, because well....programmers aren't design artists...thats why design artists are hired...this will let us do our own thing...while yet sticking with the fundamentals that we need kept in ReactOS. And who knows? maybe someone will have the idea of the century.....:D oh, and I'll come up with some requirements...a list of guidelines pertaining to the specs of the graphics that we need.

cheers,

Wow, those icons are really, really nice. I'd recommend using a star, rather than a heart, for favorites, though. Regarding the wallpapers, it'd be refreshing to see more widescreen wallpapers, specifically 16:10.

OK.FINALLY. IVE GOT THE SERVER SOMEWHAT FUNCTIONAL. So, here the files are. 2 Wallpapers, A designed for ReactoS logo, and a handful of icons. And I thought I would mention that the Designed For logo ISN'T attempted at being official. Thanks alot. PLEASE comment. Have a nice day. Ah, and because I can: I do NOT want to use SVG. I WANT TO AND WILL USE PNG. I'ts flexible, supports 32 w/ alpha, and has decent image compression. And therefore it is what I will use.

Wallpaper:
1: http://reactos.freeweb7.com/Wallpapers/ ... paper1.png
2: http://reactos.freeweb7.com/Wallpapers/ ... paper2.png

Designed for ROS logo:

Icons:
These im bundling into a .rar archive. The archive includes the Favorites, Refresh, Stop, Back, Forward, Information and other icons.

Please comment. Sorry if it seemed I was being rude up there. :D

403's, boiiiiiii

Personally, I HATE Freeweb7. Once the old management left, it all went downhill. Check out Byethost. Fairly decent free host.

Yes... the DEVS and the related start these things... not new forum members who dont understand this.
If I worked in microsoft... as a cleaner... then ran up to bill gates and told him we needed a design team, i dont think he'd listen!
