Introducing ... A proposal for Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex)'s interface: willwill100's mockup.

People who have made this a little bit more possible:

What I can see out of this:
-inspiration from Vista and Mac
-use of already existing apps
-more sleek (others call it modern ) interface --> glossy
-curvey, not sharp (like Vista or Mac, no 2K like)
What do you guys think?
As long as ReactOS's design is in the work ... Make sure to make it compatible with GTK/ UXTheme (XP and Vista)/ KDE/ GNOME/ et. all. Keep up the good work, and keep us update, ROS team !!

I do not quite follow your idea. As far as ROS is gonna be compatible with uxtheme, what has it to do with GTK/KDE/GNOME?

Well ... My original intention is that since ROS is still in the works, perhaps we can have some extra-flexible design/ themeing options.
Sure, UXTheme support is great !! But ... Some people may just like KDE and/ or GNOME better. And some may even like the offerings of GTK.
What I'm saying is, perhaps the ROS can look into compatibility with these themeing options ? I think it'd be a great idea !! (But perhaps wait until late beta to test it out; I want the OS to be stable for everyday uses .)

Hy,
gtk = Gimp Tool Kit -> Gnome using it
as addon for the Gui and as addon for uxtheme.dll too.
i think it is quite a good idea and qt as addon too, to using
qt wigets (or how it's named ) .. see the backroud of this
idea and i like it
but..... it shold be finishing Roxplorer² with manny api's for so
things.. you shold call programmers who can c+ and have enough knowhoff
to write a realy good scelett and api's for the Rosxplorer.
He/she shold contackt the developers of it..
best regards
Blacky

If people like KDE or Gnome, they're perfectly free to try installing those on ReactOS using the Windows installers, such as they are. Any effort on our part to make the system look like either would be redundant of their work.
