I like the tango icons and I think the icons shouldn't change every week :P .
I think themes are available later, and then there is something for everybody.

I can totally agree with that. Besides: the tango icons look pretty but also solid. I think that the nuvola icons make ReactOS look a bit like a teletubby-OS.

I also second that. alphablending will already do a lot. It will make it even more pretty.

Using them is the best way to be sued in court by Microsoft.
Auditing or not, it won't make any difference...

I've just checked out the icon gallery on the tango website, and found out that there already is a good icon for a folder.:

I think we should use that one for the folders, and keep the current (almost empty) icon for unknown filetypes.

Tango icons are clean crisp and neutral so they should be the "DEFAULT" icon set. All other foss iconsets should be able to be gotten via the package manager.... Here is a list of some iconsets ..... it is not however exhaustive.(ie i like the crystal clear set and its not listed etc..) http://www.maxpower.ca/free-icons/2006/03/05/
