Aston Shell - virtual desktop environments
if you get tired of the same old boring XP look
you can always download Aston Shell
http://www.astonshell.com/aston/
and AltDesk virtual desktop environment
http://www.astonshell.com/altdesk/
an actual replacement shell for windows
with hundreds of themes (from mild to extreme) to transform your desktop
including Linux, KDE, and Mac OSX environments
it's very cool - and it should be compatible with ReactOS

Hmm, three posts and a review extoling the vertues ... maybeDorian wrote: 3. Is this spam ?
sorry,1. Wrong forum. Go Design section instead
i thought General Discussion seemed the right forum for a plugin shell topic
so what, it's only the themes, graphix and UI that matter in this case2. Closed source.
the registration is cheap, and i can download 100s of great themes
i don't mind paying for something good, and something that i want
as long as it has nothing to do with a proprietary monopolist like Microsoft or Apple (yes.. Apple! the "other" Microsoft)
why should anyone be bothered to pay a few Euro
unless they're a homeless person
if you think artists should give away their creations
and work fulltime day jobs so some snotty cumputer geek and get a free download
think again
some of these are quite niceCheck out open ones here
unfortunately half of these were dead links
this is the thanks i get for a helpful suggestion?3. Is this spam ?
No, this is NOT spam
it's a tip for people like myself who think the Windows UI sucks
and want something WAAAY better
lighten up... it's a replacement shell link!
i think you mean virtues ?Hmm, three posts and a review extoling the vertues ... maybe
a Swede correcting a Brit's english spelling?
what is the world coming to?
Now I see what happened Genral Public Meet Developers.
Most of the time this goes well. Some of the time it goes badly.
Developers here are interested in Source Code as with all Developers.
Reason with source code in particaller GPL compad source code we may or may not choose to embed it into Reactos for good or ship it with Reactos at a latter date.
Posting comerical programs in the slightly the wrong way normally brings the spam flag. It has been common in the past so everyone stomps on it fast. Some times everyone is just over react at times. Closed source program with some features you would like to see in reactos normally would be stated. I would like to see features like what are in this <program> in particular.... This normally avoids the spam yell and scream.
Developers will not lighten up about spam other wise forums endup over full of companys just trying to push other application. Most of them would have seen that before.
Some of those Dead links in the Wiki need fixing. Some of the project have died or moved.
Becareful please more polite on the correction of spelling. I might be a Australian but I cannot always spell words. Dislexer strikes from time to time. Years and years of work have fixed 90 percent.
Just be cause you learnt english does not mean you can spell other things can cause problems yet not effect a person writing computer code.
It also could be a simple typo.
I think you mean X is fine. But the extra comment was not called for.

i understand what you mean
i hope you don't get the impression i was being critical of React's desktop environment (this is not the case)
since im extremely graphically orientated
a GUI can make the difference between
me using an OS and not using it
i just downloaded React 0.2.9
but i haven't installed it yet
im going to buy a new harddrive first
so i can do a clean install and swap drives when needed
i really hope the shells i use in XP will work in React
im quite desperate to dump Windows as soon as possible
i bought Xandros Desktop Linux 3,0 last year
together with crossover office
hoping that would be my final release from MS oppression
unfortunately major hardware incompatibility problems (or lack of driver support) made it clear that Xandros still had a ways to go before calling itself a direct replacement for XP
now im hoping React will be the direct XP replacement solution i've been longing for
btw. the spelling comment was meant to be a little joke ; -)
