An Installation Guide for Real Hardware

Post by zlm1229 »

Hello all, I thought you would all enjoy a guide on how I get ReactOS to install on my Dell Dimension 3000
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pxW ... xGAtg/edit
I plan on editing it with major releases, ie 0.5.0, and probally bigger small builds, like how 0.4.6/0.4.7 were bigger builds.
Good luck all!

I'm the one who just filled your google doc with Grammarly suggestions. (Btw you could've just clicked the check mark instead of typing out my suggestion)
ReactOS Donator ~ $5.00 | Linux Mint Donator ~ $1.00 in BTC

I think that you need to rework this:
Part 3 - Playing around with ReactOS

1. Congratulations you installed ReactOS when you feel inclined to mess with some things from the installation disk and for example, change the resolution.
It just does not read right.

This is my suggestion.

(remove the number)
Congratulations, you have now installed ReactOS. You may feel inclined to mess with some things from the installation disk and for example, change the resolution, so here are my suggestions:

Then renumber all the other paragraphs.
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.
The layman's guides - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Where will you have your tutorial?

You may not know, but you have a personal wiki page here, that you could use for any tutorial you may make. Or you could post it here, in this topic.
