Maybe an underground advertising blitz for 4.0 will get us more developers and supporters. The most viewed ReactOS video on YouTube has gotten past 30,000 views already (though it's an older video), so f we could get a video to get past the 100,000 mark, we'd have succeeded in getting known on YouTube, in my opinion.
4.0? We did not even reach 1.0 and he talks about 4.0 ;-)

ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

But the issue is that ReactOS is already unpopular. If ReactOS was popular, we'd be able to drive traffic to the unpopular site. However, since we're not popular, we need to drive traffic FROM a popular site to us.

I wasn't suggesting that any videos be removed from youtube, just that the videos also be posted on dailymotion.

We believe in the advantages of open source, but we do not go out of our way to use free software, especially if it's inferior to a proprietary alternative, simply for the sake of using free software.
Then what the hell is the point of this project in the first place? Writing an entire operating system from scratch seems like going out of your way to use free software.

There is something like effort vs return rate.

The point of this project is doing what we want to do, what we like to do and what suits our interests. By chance, it happens to be cloning an entire operating system. By chance, it happens to be NT family Windows, that has enormous amount of non-free/non-open source software. By chance, we don't want to limit ourselves to/prioritize the free software.
