Let's Sue TMaxSoft

Post by andrewweb »

When tmaxsoft releases tmaxwindow, scouter and office, sun microsystems (soon to be oracle) along with the FSF and the ReactOS Foundation should sue TMaxSoft for illegally violating the GPL, LGPL and other licenses by stealing code from these projects.

Following FSF mainlines: just the Projects which had their GPL violated can sue another project. They can use FSF foundation after showing the exactly violating details to begin a sue.Until now(and because Tmax didnt release anything public yet) no GPL code has been violated.

We do not delete threads unless they are violations of the code of conduct, nor are we pleased when people delete posts. It leaves holes in conversations and is bad form. Please refrain from doing so in the future.

Aren't they already infringing on a Kodak trademark? Or are they in the clear because they are operating in a different industry?

I wouldn't get too hyped by TMaxSoft. If their software doesn't turn out to be vaporware, it'll probably crash and burn without anyone else's help needed. Suing TMaxSoft might just be a waste of resources.
