Ollydbg starts up but cant run process. I`ll provide bugreport if you would look into this issue.
Re: ReactOS Roadmap: version 0.3.11
I just submitted a bug with a testcase - 4711. What seems to happen is that the child process starts running and the debugger never gets any debug event notifications. In my case, the child test is just a hello world program, so it runs and exits.
I have this vague recollection that some of this used to work in a previous build (I could use cdb - command-line version of the windbg debugger).

Thanks ericy. Actually, would you care to join us on IRC? Most of the devs usually conduct their discussions there as well as on the ros-dev mailing list.

Hmm.... I wonder if apple's modifications of GCC work any better? http://www.opensource.apple.com/Haos wrote:@Petru
You are not really that long with us to witness any gcc-related suffering, but believe me, it exists. For example, its a source of our reluctance towards any c++ code.

It's funny - we went through the same thing some 10-15 years ago with Linux. Some wanted C++, others felt the compiler wasn't stable enough. Kind of a shame, really. You are not really that long with us to witness any gcc-related suffering, but believe me, it exists. For example, its a source of our reluctance towards any c++ code.

Maybe it's a phase all kernel devs go through.ericy wrote: It's funny - we went through the same thing some 10-15 years ago with Linux. Some wanted C++, others felt the compiler wasn't stable enough. Kind of a shame, really.

The MinGW project made an official release with GCC 4.4.0.hto wrote:GCC 4.4.1 will be released next week. But ReactOS still uses GCC 4.1.3…

So what? We probably wont be able to use it.
Re: ReactOS Roadmap: version 0.3.11
Specific ReactOS patch that can be found at http://svn.reactos.org/viewcvs/reactos/ ... E/Patches/ if you want to port them

Pardon the thread necromancy, but I want to report that WinDbg should be working effectively on ReactOS now.. See http://cia.vc/stats/author/sginsbergericy wrote:One thing I would like to request is that someone work on windbg and cdb and fix reactos so that these are stable and usable debuggers.
