Be subsystem

Post by HUMA2000 »

Maybe the Hiaku project (is correctly spelled?) can be used as base as an beOS subsystem, or the NewOS one (http://newos.org/). I know newos is OSS, i think hiaku is too, but not sure... can it be used?

Haiku (aka OpenBeOS) is based on NewOS kernel, so i think is too mutch different to be implemented as a ROS subsystem.
osFree sounds more reasonable to me...

driver

Post by ricard »

There is a link for a driver for windows NT to show the Beos files system around in the Beos forums.
All though Haiku will have a new file system it very close to the old Beos one so hopefuly it would work with out much being changed to the driver.
