Hello and good day

This is a proposition for the ReactOS foundation
and a way that us can help the ReactOS project to stay here and to get higher

I know that it is a non-profit foundation , but is a reality that all projects need money and it is a reality too that there are some people that prefer buy something rather than to make a donation, like me

and this is my proposition:

ReactOS products Merchandising

I mean the merchandising of :

Software : ReactOS Binaries, Bootable Installation CD, Bootable LiveCD,Source and Development Environment, Reactos Virtual Machine Image like QEmu , VMWare , VirtualBox (and if it is possiible the emulation software too) , and the cost of this option is generated by cds , brun process and pack and labels :S

Shirts : For summer and winter in various sizes up to xxl or more

Outerwear: Hooded or not , zippered or not

thats all

this is my proposition as a contribution , i mean that ReactOS foundation bring this option to us so we can contribute to the project with money ,

pd0: i dont have the factory to do this but maibe there are some that could take part on this
pd1: the products all muste have the ReactOS Logo

and maibe the partners logo too and in this case the partners can contribute to merchandizing :-O

Is that the "official" ReactOS store linked to above? I seem to recall that there were a few unoffical ones about the place.

If it is, I just might buy myself a ReactOS mug.

we have a more-or-less official registered store there with a name "reactos"

so this is the accepted shop

There is no official ReactOS store, period. Until I or Fireball or one of the actual developers say otherwise, there is no official store.

I wouldn't say Z98 was being offensive - he was just stating a fact with the utmost clarity.

I get simular answers like that though from the reactos devs. They do come off offensive a little bit if they mean to or not.

I would suggest a little Public Realations training only as a charasmatic team can go ALOT farther and get alot mroe support but just how they approach people or are precieved by people. I think that alone would be more benificial then a shop.

I do think the shop is a great idea and I know I would buy stuff from it.

If the dev team LIKES this idea or not they can at least offer a actual real responce to the guys question.

I am all about reactos and love what you all are doing for everyone out there. Just a little more Friendly approach goes a long way... Just saying.

ReactOS is a registered trademark. There is no official ReactOS merchandise (outside of the elusive "ReactOS Crew" shirts, which aren't for sale). We will not use Cafepress. avatarpatch, yeradis: take a hike. To everyone else, for future reference: just coming up with an idea and sharing it with us doesn't help us, in fact it sounds a lot like demanding us we do something for you.

I just posted a thought... i didnt say anything wrong at all. I was just pointing out how some of you can sound a certin way even if its not intentional. Its just constructive critisicm (hahah I know I cant spell heheh).

I have been a supporter of this project for some time and tell all the people I work with about the project.

I only recently registered becouse I wanted to see if I could offer anything in anyway to support. I was all about supporting the idea of merchandice becouse I think it would help generate you all more money.

If we sound testy or annoyed, it's because we've had to deal with people who've opened ReactOS stores in the past without our permission or even without us knowing about it. ReactOS is a trademark, one that we cannot let people just use however they want (beyond fair use) as we need to enforce our claim to keep it valid. We've had people try to use the ReactOS trademark in the past, which resulted in some fairly serious problems between us and other parties, so this is one topic we're very touchy on.
