what are the odds i could talk the dev team into releasing an extra point release that includes major bug fixes that missed the 0.3.4 release?
i am very new to actually testing and using reactos and i have been bumping up against a wall of bugs that are reported to be fixed in the latest build but i don't have the know how to get and compile that build.
even MS does intermediate releases between real releases. it helps them to gauge the effectiveness of their efforts.
maybe release a v.0.3.4.1?

There's no need for that. Just try the latest build: http://www.reactos.org/getbuilds
(You'll find this link in the home page, left column -> quick links: "trunk builds").

Don't worry, just do some search before posting, it helps a lot.brokndodge wrote:i feel stupid now... i've been trying to figure out how to get a trunk build all night
You could build the latest version using RosBE (ReactOS Build Environment),
my "old" computer an xp 2600 with 512mb of ram took 45 minutes to build it.
I've changed it to an athlon 64 3800 x2, it takes 20 minutes now...
0.3.5 will release in April.
Well, the 0.3.5 will probably be released in April, so with our new stable way of keeping the trunk and all trunk-builds offered I think a 0.3.4.1 would be overkill.
