Make ReactOS like Total Commander.
Hi, Develop Team.
I have a suggestion in the future could you make ReactOS Explorer feature looks like Total Commander? cause I like it very much. With that feature I can easily manage all my files very fast and easy and for me Total Commander is an Excellent file manager ever!!! javascript:emoticon('')

Hi, everybody. I just saw MC (midnight commander) from
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... mander.png
And yes, but it's not good looking though. I prefer similar like "Total commander"
http://www.ghisler.com/picture.htm
or like "WinSCP"
http://winscp.net/eng/docs/screenshots
It's good to have a nice feature like that rather than the old basic windows explorer! I hate it.
So, we can change the old ReactOS Explorer with the nice one.

You missed one of the other forms of MC.
http://www.nongnu.org/gcmd/shots.html Not to bad. MC can have frontends placed on it.
krusader as well may end up on windows http://krusader.sourceforge.net/screens ... t=3&next=1 .
It looks like inside 6 months time we will have a insanely expanding filemanager, webbrower, able to do commander style, and more in the form of http://www.konqueror.org/ . As well as krusader. Then there are other project also building commander style.
Now general style its really a question where should it start and where should it stop.

Hy CSI,
i now chris, and i had tell him about this projekt....
The TC in Reactos is generally a good idea, but, it's better if is give a
own explorerclone who show same as MS-Win as if give only a TC one..
no, no, i fond this momentary way correctly and better as it is intrgated TC..
if we whant the TC inside in ROS, then let us installing it A other way is,
if it is give pluginapis how in TC, the one wfx, wcx and so on,
for ROS, this is a way what can go
best Wishes

I am not against it. Please note konqueror fall into that option where its a view option.
koqnqueror you can break the window up in the same way you do with frames in a browers.
Vertical Horsonital... Any combination you like panel layout.
My question is how far in multi panel section support should it go.

support for window explorer:
- Support 4 vertical multi panel (It does't support horizontal panel!)
Vertical multi panel details:
- One panel for viewing tree folder.
- One panel for viewing image {bmp,png,gif,icon,jpg,jpeg, etc..}
(this is docking panel only. not support floating panel!)
- Two panel for viewing folders.
- All windows panel can be customized by order. (vertical panel only!)
- Show 2 (A: C: D: E: drivers) at top of the folder. (like file manager)
- There are buttons for View, Edit, Copy, Move, New Folder and Delete At the buttom or at
the top of the folder {this can be customized}
- Can treat compression files (7z, Rar, Zip, Cab, Tar, Tar.gz ) like a folder.
- Abillity to change attributes files.
- Marking Files (select group, unselect group, select all and unselect all)
Now that's what I need (It doesn't 100% like file manager). Is that can break the window
with frames in a browser?

Windows Explorer from Windows already supports plugin api's So doing more is not exactly forbin.
I guess people don't notice that you can browse into zip files under it just like a folder.
If this does not all work in current ros explorer this should make it in as a feature addon.
I did not explain it well. Frames in a browser are a old way of slicing up a web page. Konqueror one of my favorate layouts is .

Ps sorry about all the 1
1 is a assignable tree view ie able to be used as the tree view for 2 or 3.
2 and 3 are folder views.
All frames can have toolbars assigned to that frame. Even interrelation ship between frames can be set and changed. Frame split lines allow it to be reshaped at will. If need I could have frame for image previewing with even image editing options in there.
Ie assignable toolbars to a frame to achieve this since they can be placed top and bottom.
As I say Konqueror is insanely powerful. Experienced KDE users it power sets can even be tabed like firefox does with its windows. So swaping between setups is simple. And personal setups is save able like a theme.
Style you are refering to is pure commander style. There is another frame based. It is really a question what one is best. Frame can go everywhere from current explorer to commander and more.

This is just a existing feature of explorer expanded. Can treat compression files (7z, Rar, Zip, Cab, Tar, Tar.gz ) like a folder.
