Google SOC 2007

Post by cuppm »

Is ReactOS not participating this year? The list was posted for the participating organizations and no ROS... It also says that no more organizations will be added.

That's not good... Why didn't ReactOS participate this year? It gives the project accrued visibility and more developers... :?

You missed the deadline? I think that there were already posts in this forum asking if ReactOS would participate to SoC 07... :?

I think it has probably has to do with the last release cycle. The release with new features from the last soc didn't come out until this week. Basically it doesn't make business sense to put money into a project that doesn't get results. (thus ROS is not on the list, that was probably made up before the release.)

Yes seems that ROS was not selected or something but not seeing the code being used may not be the reason cos the official FAQ states that there is no enforcement on using the code... ... opic=10732
