Well its the same font as used in the original logo, this why the connection is clearly seen.
Do you mean something like this.

I reduced the distance by half it's original diameter

I LOVE THE X! but no the rest!
PS: CAN I USE THE X FOR ANOTHER THING FOR REACT X?

Actually, I think I did quite good copying that green/purple lightning look from DirectX5/7 without even looking up the original logos but doing it all off the top of my head

. I was inspired by one of the first ReactX logos in this thread, and of course by the DX5/DX7 logos that I vaguely remembered from the microsoft.com/directx site. Though I think that I did quite okay for a clean and sleek ReactX logo bearing in mind scalability, being able to use it in black and white only, etc.; I think creambase hit the nail on the head with this particular design:

If and when there's going to be a poll I'm definitely voting for that one. It might not look as cool in black and white but it definitely has the "Edge in gaming" feel to it. Hats off!
It compiles, let's ship it!

How about Reaction, DreactX, ReacX, hey why dont you work with Open GL its pretty good rendering driver and it's open source! Never mind it's already using openGL

I think creambase hit the nail on the head with this particular design:

I really like that one but reXct just doesn't quite cut it. Could you some how stick an "a" some where in the font but keep the cool "X".

I'm a 3d Computer Graphics Artist still in training with 3DS Max9.0 64bit-edition. and I could try a cool logo(after I get my cpu working first).

Yes, the X is very nice and gaming-like. But I don't like the "ReXct"
