Because you're required to use FAT for the filesystem, there's a problem now. Then how can security be implemented at the file system level?

I minus will stay with Windows 98 if this problem can't be resolved. :(

Please be aware that ReactOS is still alpha and have you already read Read before Posting especially the first topic: Yet again another thread about FileSystems...?

Within the Forum or the Wiki are already some threads concerning File Systems such as NTFS or Security Holes.

In my opinion, I hope that the coders will implement, as official FS, the Ext3, maybe adapting the OS to make this implementation trasparent for the system. For example, this thing of Defrag the FS is very fussing and slow. If the File System provide a native solution for this problem this could be great.

Ah, of course, FAT must be discarded. Too old and too less powerful (es. compression, crypting and access authorization are not present).

Probably the developers of ReactOS are better aware of FileSystems as we are as those people are dealing with - and trying to implement - Filesystems. So we don`t need those permanent discussions concerning Filesystems. They are going to be implemented - maybe in ReactOS 1.0, maybe in ReactOS 2.0. You just have to wait or to start implementing your favourite Filesystem by yourself.
