Alky (pronounced "AL-KEE") is a tool that allows you to convert a Windows executable to a Mac OS X or Linux binary. and it's open source.

It looks like an interesting project, although it's very young.
As far as I can make out, its aim is to port a Windows executable to a different operating system, while keeping the binary code the same. Isn't this the opposite of what's needed to get a Windows app working on a PPC?

I think by MacOS X, they mean the Intel version, which would make a lot more sense.

Some mention that it is a hoax (slashdot ...) other that it is only possible with major hacks. Time will show us if it will be somthing useful.
