How come a lot the Windows keyboard shortcuts don't work in ReactOS?

here are the ones that don't work:
[ALT-SPACE]; should bring up the window operations menu
[ALT-HYPHEN]; should bring up the window operations menu of the current MDI window
[ALT]; should switch focus to the menu
[BACKSPACE] (in the open/save dialog); should move to the parent folder
[CTRL-C] (in the command prompt); should abort the current operation
[ALT-TAB]&[ALT-SHIFT-TAB]; should bring up the task switcher
[WIN]&[CTRL-ESC]; should bring up the start menu
[CTRL-TAB]&[CTRL-SHIFT-TAB]; should switch between tabs in dialogs

I suggest you read the ReactOS FAQ (from top to bottom) https://reactos.org/wiki/ReactOS_FAQ - it should answer any of your questions re: ReactOS but in short, ReactOS is not finished yet and that is the reason why large amounts of ReactOS are not yet working.

There are a lot of keys you listed are actually working in ReactOS. You have something wrong with your setup.
